Find quick answers about events, profiles, sponsorships, organizer tools, community-listed events, and how the platform works.

General

What is CrateOnScene?

CrateOnScene is an operating platform for the car community. It connects organizers, drivers, businesses, and spectators around real events, participation, sponsorships, history, and opportunities. It is not designed as another social network or simply as an event calendar.

Do I need an account to browse events?

No. Public event discovery is open to everyone. Accounts are needed for participation features.

Does CrateOnScene have a mobile app?

CrateOnScene started as a mobile-responsive web platform because it was designed as an operational tool, not a social media app.

Organizers may need to review registrations, manage vendors, handle sponsorships, upload documents, and coordinate events—tasks that are often easier to manage on a full screen.

CrateOnScene still works well on mobile devices, so drivers, businesses, organizers, and spectators can use the platform on the go.

Events

What is a community-listed event?

A community-listed event is added to CrateOnScene before its organizer has claimed it. People can discover it, and drivers can associate participation with an appropriate pending or unverified status. Once the organizer claims the event, organizer-managed features become available.

I am the organizer of an event already listed. What should I do?

Claim the existing listing instead of creating a duplicate. Create an organizer account, then message @CrateOnScene on Instagram with your account details and event name.

Does CrateOnScene sell event tickets?

CrateOnScene does not operate as a dedicated event-ticketing platform. Organizers can continue using their preferred ticketing system.

Organizers

What can organizers manage?

Driver registrations, vendor applications, approvals and waitlists, payment status, invitations, sponsors, documents and instructions, participant rosters, and event-day check-in.

Does CrateOnScene collect driver or vendor payments?

CrateOnScene is not intended to replace an organizer’s primary ticketing or payment system. Organizers can continue using their preferred payment methods, while CrateOnScene can track payment status where applicable.

Can organizers control who participates?

Yes. Organizers review registrations and vendor applications and decide which participants are accepted.

What happens if a driver caused problems at another event?

Organizers can flag drivers for proven misconduct. Other organizers can see the warning when considering future participation. The purpose is participant accountability and more responsible, controlled events—not public shaming.

Drivers

Do I need a modified car to create a driver profile?

A driver profile is for people participating with their vehicles; it does not have to be a modified car. Individual events may have their own requirements. Spectators do not need a car profile.

Can I build event history?

Yes. Participation can build event history, including community-listed events with an appropriate pending or unverified status. Organizer-managed events carry their associated participation status.

Can organizers invite me?

Eligible organizers can discover drivers and invite them to participate in events.

Can businesses sponsor my car?

Yes. Businesses can receive sponsor placement on your driver profile, and you can receive a share of the sponsorship revenue.

Businesses

Do I have to be a vendor to create a business profile?

No. Businesses can participate through sponsorships and other community activity, even when they are not vending.

Can my business sponsor a driver?

Yes. Businesses can sponsor drivers and receive visible sponsor placement on their profiles.

Can my business sponsor an event?

Yes. Businesses can sponsor eligible events and receive placement connected to the event.

Do I need to attend an event to sponsor it?

No. You can support an event without attending or setting up as a vendor.

Spectators

Do I need an account or car to find events?

No. You can browse public events without an account, a project car, or a car profile.

Can I see which cars and vendors will be there?

Depending on how the event is managed, approved cars, vendors, sponsors, and other event information may be visible on its page.

Partnerships

Do organizers have to become partners?

No. Partnership is optional; organizers can use the core event tools without it.

What do higher levels provide?

Additional discovery, invitation, visibility, and relationship-building capabilities depending on the level. See the Partnership Program page for the tools and invitation access available at each level.
